Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages3 and4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage5 for suitably experienced candidates.
• Teach students practical cooking skills, food preparation techniques and food hygiene principles.
• Promote an understanding of nutrition, healthy eating and food science.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress through effective feedback and intervention.
• Ensure the safe use of kitchen equipment and maintain high standards of health and safety during practical lessons.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes high expectations and excellent behaviour.
• Contribute to the wider Design and Technology department and school community.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and continually improve teaching and learning.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Hospitality or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Food Technology within a UK secondary school (placements considered for ECTs).
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
