Learning Support Assistant - Surbiton
Location: Surbiton, South West London
Pay: £100-£120 per day
Start Date: November 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Milk Education are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Surbiton. The school is seeking someone who can provide additional classroom support, help pupils overcome learning barriers and work closely with teachers to support progress.
The RoleSupport pupils with classroom tasks and learning activities.
Deliver individual and small-group support.
Reinforce learning in English and maths.
Help pupils understand instructions and complete tasks.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
Work with the class teacher to identify and support pupils' needs.
Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
A patient and encouraging approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Able to adapt to different classroom situations.
Reliable, organised and enthusiastic about education.
Previous school experience would be beneficial, particularly for candidates who have supported primary-aged pupils.
