Accounts Receivable Officer

Hume Doors & Timber (QLD) Pty Ltd is Australia's leading Door Manufacturer and Timber Wholesaler. The company is 100% Australian owned and markets its products to the hardware, timber and building industries.

We are looking to employ an Accounts Receivable Officer to assist the credit team in maintaining the effective functioning of the company's Credit Department. The position is available at our Head Office in Kingston.

This hands‑on role assists a critical part of our business which is responsible for the processing of various elements of the company's Credit function.

• Management and processing of existing accounts including receipting, collections, reconciliations, processing claims, general customer interaction.
• Calculating & processing rebate and settlement discount entitlements.
• Managing and processing intercompany transactions, liaising with intercompany staff.
• Conducting credit checks and contacting credit references prior to new accounts being set up.
• Completion of month‑end activities and reports in a timely manner.
• Assist with credit applications, PPSA lodgements and reporting.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Receivable role.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently with exceptional communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail and a professional manner.
• Intermediate Excel knowledge is an advantage.
• Exposure to Pronto‑Xi software is an advantage.
• Previous experience in the door manufacturing or timber wholesaling industry is an advantage, though not required.
