Kingston Grammar School is recruiting a Financial Controller to join the finance team. The role involves the day‑to‑day management of the school’s financial activities and the provision of cover for the Director of Finance in their absence. The candidate will support the Director of Finance and the senior leadership team.

• Manage daily financial operations of the school.
• Provide cover for the Director of Finance.
• Support the senior leadership (Executive) team.
• Oversee budgeting, financial and commercial planning.
• Manage people, operations, and financial resources.

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of managing people, operations, financial and budgetary management.
• Solid financial and commercial acumen.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Full‑time, permanent contract.
• 40 hours per week for 52 weeks a year.
• Holiday entitlement: 25 days plus bank holidays and 2 additional grant days during the festive period.
• Opportunity to work in a diverse professional environment; prior experience in a school is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
