Overview
Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Band 7 Neonatal Physiotherapist to join our neonatal team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering specialist neonatal care, shaping best practice, and providing high-quality, family-centred support.
The post holder should have a strong clinical background in paediatrics with experience working with infants and children with complex needs, and ideally experience within neonatal care. The role involves delivering developmentally informed, evidence-based physiotherapy across our Level 2 Neonatal Unit, supporting infants with a wide range of medical and developmental needs, and working closely with their families.
A key component of the role includes leading the physiotherapy-led developmental follow-up service at 3 and 12 months and contributing to the 2-year Bayley developmental assessment clinics alongside our Consultant Paediatricians. You will play an integral role in identifying early developmental concerns, supporting early intervention, and contributing to longer-term outcome planning together with community teams.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, forward-thinking neonatal service where developmentally supportive care, family partnership and interdisciplinary working are central to practice.
