Transport Manager

We are working with an established and market-leading, independent supply and distribution company who work with Nationwide clients.

They are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to run daily transport operations at the Chessington branch while supporting compliance across two additional sites in the South.

 * £45,000 - £50,000 + company car

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day transport operations and route planning

* Ensure on-time deliveries and high customer service standards

* Maintain FORS and Operator’s Licence (O Licence) compliance across multiple sites

* Oversee vehicle checks, maintenance, and transport documentation

* Lead, motivate, and manage drivers and agency staff

* Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data, and produce reports

* Control fuel usage, overtime, and agency labour costs

* Ensure Health & Safety and legal transport standards are met

Person Specification:

* Transport Manager CPC

* FORS Practitioner

* Experience managing a company O Licence

* Strong knowledge of UK transport law & compliance

* Experience leading drivers / transport teams

* Route planning and fleet management experience

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Strong organisation and time management

* Confident decision-maker under pressure

* Commercial awareness and cost control focus

* Excellent communication and people management skills

Additional Information:

* Up to £45,000 - £50,000
- Per Annum

* Working hours Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm (45 hr week)

* 31 Days Holiday including bank holidays and the Christmas shutdown
