Job Description & How to Apply Below

Retail Shift Leader – Kingston Shopping Centre WE’RE OPENING IN KINGSTON! Want to be part of something a little different?

Krispy Kreme is opening a brand-new Box Store in the heart of Kingston’s shopping centre, and we’re looking for a confident, hands‑on Retail Shift Leader to help lead the team.

Hours:

Minimum 30 hours per week, working any 5 days out of 7

This isn’t your average leadership role.

Our Box Store is designed to look like a giant Krispy Kreme box, serving our world-famous doughnuts and a variety of tasty hot and cold drinks from the centre of the shopping centre. It’s fast‑paced, fun and full of personality – and you’ll help keep every shift running smoothly.

  • Lead shift briefings, set clear priorities and create a positive, energetic atmosphere.
  • Take responsibility for operating the store independently during periods of lone working.
  • Coach and support Team Members so they feel confident and understand what great looks like.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Ensure our high standards for product quality, food hygiene, health and safety and cleanliness are consistently maintained.
  • Share daily sales targets, encourage great selling behaviours and help the team control waste and costs.
  • Complete opening and closing routines, including till reconciliation, payment system checks and daily paperwork.
  • Keep the store clean, stocked, organised and ready for our customers.
  • Lead by example and step in to support the team whenever needed.
Lone working

Lone working is a significant part of this role. You’ll regularly be responsible for operating the store independently, including opening or closing, serving customers, managing priorities and following all safety and security procedures without another Team Member on site.

You’ll need to be confident making decisions, managing busy periods and knowing when to contact a manager for support. You must be comfortable taking responsibility for the store and maintaining our standards while working independently.

Because of the lone-working responsibilities involved, applicants must be 18 years or over.

You’ll be a natural team player who communicates clearly, treats people with respect and enjoys helping others succeed. You’ll also need the flexibility to work a minimum of 30 hours per week across any 5 days out of 7, in line with the shopping centre’s opening hours.

What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive hourly pay
  • A minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Full training and development
  • Doughnuts on us, plus 50% off doughnuts and 30% off drinks in all UK Krispy Kreme stores
  • Employee rewards through Treat Box
  • Pension scheme and wellbeing support
  • Opportunities to grow your career with Krispy Kreme
