The Opportunity

A well-established and growing business is seeking an experienced Depot Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy operational site. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring efficient depot operations, high service standards, and strong team performance within a fast-paced logistics and distribution environment.

The successful candidate will act as the key operational contact across the wider business, driving operational efficiency, maintaining compliance standards, and ensuring customer expectations are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily depot operations including goods receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch activities
• Ensure efficient workflows and effective use of depot space, equipment, and operational resources
• Lead, motivate, and develop operational teams including supervisors, drivers, and warehouse staff
• Monitor team performance and support training and development initiatives
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management processes
• Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth operational coordination
