The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services has an exciting opportunity for you to demonstrate your expertise in interpreting legislation, applying problem-solving and analytical skills, and supporting sector staff by conducting compliance inspections of agencies providing services for adults with developmental disabilities. You will join a team of 9 inspectors and 4 corporate staff, with full training provided.
Note: This position requires frequent travel throughout the province, including overnight stays. The head office is located at 315 Front Street, Toronto, but the position is based out of either 347 Preston Street, Ottawa, or 11 Beechgrove, Kingston. Flexible work arrangements, including telework, are available.
Effective January 1, 2024, the salary range will be $1,444.55 to $1,771.45 per week, in accordance with OPSEU collective agreement provisions.

Role ResponsibilitiesYou will:
- Conduct site visits to inspect and monitor services provided by agencies to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Identify compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare compliance documentation and reports.
- Communicate requirements and provide assistance to agencies.
- Support agencies in maintaining compliance with laws and regulations.
- Participate in program reviews and liaise with community and government agencies.
- Contribute to committees and projects as needed.
Knowledge of service delivery programs, policies, and procedures for oversight, familiarity with relevant legislation, and understanding of funding programs are essential.
SkillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and computer skills are required to perform inspections and prepare reports effectively.
