Parts Advisor​/Counter Person - Marty's GMC Isuzu

Marty’s, Inc. is looking to add a new member to our Parts Team!

The Parts Advisor/Counter Person is responsible for assisting technicians and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies. As a counter person you will sell spare and replacement parts and equipment in the service department to both the service department and to customers directly.

• Work with service advisors, and technicians to build accurate price quotes
• Make every effort to locate needed parts when the dealership is out of stock.
• Handle parts payment collection and make sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department, or parts invoices
• Assist with daily inventory, receiving, stocking and shipping.
• Assist in maintaining perpetual inventories.
• Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.
• Help maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the parts counter, work area and stockroom.
• Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
• Assist customers, such as responding to customer complaints and updating them about back-ordered parts.

• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
• Previous parts advisor experience or automotive experience a plus but not required
• Understand basic automotive components and systems
• Ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced work environment
• A positive attitude
• Working knowledge of computers
• Be at least eighteen years of age
• Possess a valid in-state driver's license with a motor vehicle report and an acceptable safe driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: up to $70,000 annually (Pay commensurate to experience)
