We are seeking a Land Surveyor to join our team. Candidates can be mid to senior level with experience in control, boundary, topographic, utility, ALTA, verification, and monitor surveying.
Responsibilities- Perform field duties in a party chief capacity, including maintenance of field equipment, set‑up, operations, and proper field procedures.
- Lead a crew or work alone with appropriate field equipment.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Operate Trimble S6 robot and GPS for data collection.
- Maintain quality field procedures, equipment calibration, and maintenance.
- Train/mentor field technicians.
- Prepare field notes, sketches, calculations, and construction staking.
- Complete field projects the first time without unnecessary return trips.
- 2+ years of Land Survey experience with a Civil Engineering/Land Development Firm.
- 2+ years of experience in topographic, boundary, utility survey, construction layout, GPS.
- Familiarity with current local, state, and surveying regulations.
- Strong CAD and computer skills (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Terramodel, Carlson, etc.).
- 20‑45% travel depending on project.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
