Join the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Social Work as a Coordinator for the Tennessee Child Support Employment & Parenting Program (TCSEPP). The position is based in Roane & Morgan Counties, TN, and focuses on assisting non‑custodial parents to overcome barriers to employment, become stable, and actively participate in their children’s lives.
Job DescriptionThe TCSEPP Coordinator builds an evidence‑informed and trauma‑informed practice, working closely with child‑support systems, courts, attorneys, custodial parents, and the community. Responsibilities include case management, record keeping, partnership building, outreach, and program administration for grant‑funded work.
Responsibilities- Determine participant eligibility and assess barriers, making referrals as needed.
- Develop individual action plans and provide one‑on‑one case management to support job readiness and emotional well‑being.
- Maintain accurate records in TCSES, Apricot, Excel, and other systems.
- Monitor child‑support eligibility, payments, program compliance, and employment status.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local agencies to address employment barriers.
- Attend community interagency and partner meetings to share resources.
- Provide regular updates to child‑support staff and attorneys on participant progress.
- Maintain court presence to foster positive relationships and recruit participants.
- Participate in job/resource fairs.
- Handle fiscal tasks such as one‑card reconciliation, receipt documentation, monthly gift‑card reconciliation, and travel reports.
- Two years of client or case‑management experience; a bachelor’s degree or two additional years of experience will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile with continuous liability coverage.
- Ability to assess participant needs, build trusting relationships, and provide emotional support.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and data‑management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility to travel across Roane & Morgan counties.
- Experience working with non‑custodial parents and employment programs.
- Experience collaborating with community groups or social‑service organizations.
- Hybrid position requiring travel to Roane & Morgan Counties, TN; applicants must live within one hour of those counties.
