Customer Service Representative Intern - Collections

Definition:
Under general supervision of the Collection’s Supervisor, performs general or specialized clerical work and performs other duties as required.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operates the Customer Service Area in accordance with City policies and procedures.
• Processes new accounts, transfers, and receipts.
• Accepts payments and ensures accuracy of information.
• Research, processes, and responds to customer inquiries and account requests.
• Assists other Customer Service Representatives in performing duties related to customer accounts and collections.
• Provides information to customers, receives and ensures proper handling and/or routing of customer complaints.

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to interpret and apply both written and oral instructions
• Knowledge of general office procedures to include 10-key operations
• Ability to communicate effectively and courteously both verbally and in writing
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
