SEN Teaching Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant - Thanet Academics are currently looking for enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a number of our client schools across Thanet . With a variety of specialist settings available, there are excellent opportunities for candidates with different levels of experience to find the right environment for them. Our schools support pupils with a broad range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), ADHD, communication and interaction needs, and complex learning difficulties .

The role will involve working closely with pupils and teaching staff to ensure every child receives the individual support they need. Your day-to-day responsibilities could include providing 1:1 support, assisting with small-group activities, supporting pupils within lessons and helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills . You will work as part of a supportive team and play an important role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

We're looking for individuals who are compassionate, patient and adaptable , with the ability to understand that every pupil is different. SEN experience is a strong advantage, but we are also keen to hear from candidates with transferable experience from education, childcare, care, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching or similar support-based roles .
