A leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for an experienced Site/Section Engineer to join a major programme of substation and associated civil engineering works across Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects involving earthworks, concrete, drainage, access roads, foundations and substation civils.
The Role
As Site/Section Engineer, you will provide engineering support across site-based civil engineering works, working closely with the Site Agent, Sub-Agent and wider project team.
Key responsibilities will include:
Setting out and surveying works in line with drawings and specifications.
Providing technical and engineering support to the site team.
Checking levels, dimensions and construction tolerances.
Reviewing drawings and ensuring works are delivered to specification.
Supporting quality inspections, ITPs and site documentation.
Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
Liaising with subcontractors, designers and project stakeholders.
Assisting with technical queries, RAMS and project reporting.
Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with HSEQ requirements.
About You
They are looking for an experienced Site Engineer, Section Engineer or Senior Engineer with a strong civil engineering background.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
Good knowledge of civil engineering construction methods.
Experience with earthworks, concrete, drainage, roads or foundations.
A good understanding of quality and HSEQ requirements.
Relevant engineering or construction qualifications.
A willingness and ability to travel across Scotland as required.
Experience with in energy, utilities, power, substations or major infrastructure would be advantageous, although candidates from other major civils backgrounds will also be considered.
