This position would suit a commercially driven sales professional with experience in CHP, energy, or complex technical sales, who enjoys managing the full sales lifecycle—from initial engagement through to contract signing and beyond.
Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and sales partners.
Carry out technical and economic appraisals of CHP opportunities using energy data, site visits, and tender documentation.
Develop viable:
Cogeneration (LTHW),
Tri-generation (e.g. steam),
Quad-generation solutions (e.g. absorption chillers).
Prepare, submit, and negotiate complex tender responses, including pricing and commercial terms.
Understand the wider energy market, including political and regulatory drivers such as Net Zero, grid connections, and funding mechanisms, to overcome project barriers.
Interface effectively with UK-based teams and the 2G headquarters in Germany.
Attend and represent the business at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
Maintain a strong sales pipeline while ensuring projects meet minimum margin requirements.
Requirements:
2–3 years’ experience in CHP sales or a closely related energy or technical sales role.
Proven experience managing complex tender processes, including site visits and client meetings.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to price, negotiate, and close technically complex projects.
Good working knowledge of CHP systems and associated mechanical and electrical principles.
Ability to assess early-stage opportunities for technical and commercial viability.
Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders (e.g. Managing Directors, Finance Directors, Heads of Sustainability).
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
GCSEs in Maths and English (essential).
Engineering degree and additional CHP sales experience are desirable.
Package & Benefits:
Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
Performance-related bonus structure.
Company car or car allowance.
Pension scheme.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Ongoing training and professional development within the CHP and energy sector.
Clear career progression opportunities, including Senior Sales Manager and Head of Sales roles.
Long-term opportunity within a growing and technically focused business.
If you’re an experienced energy or CHP sales professional looking to take ownership of complex, high-value projects and progress your career within a specialist CHP organisation, this is an opportunity well worth exploring.
