Psychology Director

STGi is seeking qualified candidates for this position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP). Hiring for this role is contingent upon STGi's selection as the successful awardee.

• Oversees the treatment of patients with emotional, mental or psychological disorders.
• Ensures regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures are effected.
• Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for sub‑acute patients within the enterprise.
• Develops budgets, policies and procedures in support of the functional architecture of the home/clinic.

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel and support agencies.
• Must meet general health requirements set forth by the facility, including a medical and physical examination.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and, at times, hostile people within the facility.
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

• Must have, as a minimum, five (5) years of managerial experience in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related medical facility.

• Must possess, as a minimum, a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
• Clinician licensed in North Carolina in an appropriate clinic field (e.g., Social Work Director, Psychology Director, Nursing Director).
