• The Staff Occupational Therapist provides patient care assessment and treatment, program development, and team leadership when assigned.
• Responsible for mentoring Therapists, Assistants, Technicians, and Students.
• Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs in hospital settings to help rehabilitate those impaired because of illness, injury or psychological or developmental problems.
• Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi‑disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care.
• Participates in CQI activities.
• Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.

• Provide patient assessment, care, and information; address concerns and complaints; project a positive image.
• Promote coordination of care with physicians and other team members; market services.
• Provide education and marketing to community and business groups.

• Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s or Doctorate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• Experience
  • None.
• Licensure / Registration / Certification
  • Current NC Board of Occupational Therapy license.
• Other skills and qualifications
  • Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members.
• Work environment
  • Exposure to blood borne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.
• Physical requirements
  • Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
