Job Summary

In this role, the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain, will be responsible for the efficient coordination and management of all procurement, warehousing, and planning for the Kinston, NC location. Sr. Manager, Supply Chain will develop the supply chain management strategy and build the processes which will guarantee the efficient movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-progress inventory, and all finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement comprehensive strategies for all aspects of the Kinston site to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality, shorten lead times and reduce inventories.
  • Provide exceptional leadership to the Supply Chain team.
  • Create structure, develop personnel, give direction, integrate/leverage global capabilities, and hold team members accountable
  • Collaborate with Management, Engineering and Operations to improve Product Lifecycle Management. Spearhead initiatives to introduce products on time, on budget and in full.
  • Challenge existing suppliers and seek out future potential supply partners.
  • Continuously develop/enhance supply chain productivity and operational processes. Implement industry’s best practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory and vendor management.
  • Support the GMP efforts in the plant as they relate to the facility.
  • Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
  • Serve as a member of the site leadership team and participate in the decision-making process.

Education & Experience (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
Work Experience
  • Must have extensive prior supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have at least 5 year of experience in a manager or senior manager level role
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within Supply Chain
  • Must have extensive experience with capital expenditure and project related work
  • Prefer effective organizational, troubleshooting, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Preferred Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others (both verbally and in writing)
  • Must be able to effectively use SAP, MS Project, and MS Office programs such Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Must possess good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of the principles of electricity, electronics, mechanical and plant operating systems
  • Must be able to read blueprints & schematic drawings; knowledge of such items as plant systems and related equipment/utilities appropriate to this role.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
  • Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

20%:
Up to 52 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
