Job SummaryThe Structural Composite Assembler supports the assembly and installation of composite aircraft structures. This role focuses on equipping incoming composite panels with stringers, frames, fittings, and associated supports in accordance with aerospace specifications and quality standards. The work is structured, repetitive, and precision-based, requiring strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality requirements.
This position supports a dedicated workstation within the Airbus production environment and is critical to maintaining production flow and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and install stringers, frames, fittings, and structural supports onto composite panels
- Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications
- Perform basic drilling, fastening, bonding, and sealing operations
- Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures safely and correctly
- Ensure work meets aerospace quality and compliance standards
- Conduct visual inspections and identify defects or non-conformances
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation (5S standards)
- Work collaboratively within a shift‑based team environment
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Experience:
- 0–1 year manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience
- Aerospace or composites experience preferred but not required
Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions and learn aerospace processes
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Experience:
- 2–4 years of aerospace manufacturing or composite assembly experience
- Hands‑on experience with composite structures strongly preferred
Skills:
- Confident reading of work instructions and drawings
- Experience installing stringers, frames, or fittings
- Consistent quality output with minimal supervision
Experience:
- 5+ years aerospace composite structural assembly experience
- Prior Airbus, Spirit Aero Systems, Boeing, or Tier‑1 supplier experience preferred
Skills:
- Advanced understanding of composite structural assemblies
- Ability to troubleshoot assembly issues and support team members
- Acts as informal lead or mentor within the shift
