Job Description
Our client´s team at Kinston manufactures crucial aircraft components. On the shop floor you’ll be surrounded by individuals who are passionate about aviation and skilled in areas like electrical, structure and quality. Join our team and help build the next generation of aircraft.
Our client´s facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.
- Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
- Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
- Prior aerospace experience as aircraft assembler, assembly mechanic, sheet metal or related to assembly in the aerospace industry.
- Ability to perform rework, fabrication, functional testing, inspections, and change incorporation during or after assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering changes, specifications, and work orders to assemble and install parts and assemblies to quality standards.
- Ability to complete required data entry and transaction processes to support assembly progression.
- Ability to support continuous product flow by training, coaching, and assisting other employees.
