The Licensed Practical Nurse maintains accountability for the delivery of safe and competent nursing care to assigned patients. Provides care by using the nursing process under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Supports and assists the Registered Nurse in provision of care and collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to achieve the highest standards of care specific to the age of the patient.

• Provide direct patient care, ensuring high quality and safe nursing services.
• Collaborate with physicians, coworkers, and other health care team members to provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care.
• Maintain a friendly, helpful, courteous attitude toward all patients, families, and customers, projecting a positive image of the unit and hospital.

• Education: Graduation from an approved School of Licensed Practical Nursing.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure/Certification: Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina; BCLS certification.
