• Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse

• Orientation: 24 hours

• Weekend and Holiday Coverage:
Required (Every Other Weekend/Every Other Holiday)

• Travelers must live at least 50 miles from facility

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800
Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

• Proficiency with Epic charting system required

•

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIH/Stroke Certification

• First-time travel nurses welcome

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• Community hospital or clinical support experience preferred
ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Department

• Perform triage, assessment, and emergency interventions for acute and emergent conditions

• Administer medications and treatments, including emergency medications and procedural sedation

• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, respiratory distress, and behavioral health needs

• Document and coordinate patient care using Epic EMR

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and social services

• Float to units with similar or lower acuity as needed

• Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing nursing education
