This position is responsible for leading the operations of the grooming salon, achieving targeted goals, and driving results to grow the business. This includes overseeing daily operations, training and coaching staff, and providing exceptional customer service to pet parents and their dogs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)As a Salon Leader, you should be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, capable of fulfilling the following requirements:
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Support selling initiatives (TEAM):
- Thank the Customer
- Engage with the customer and/or pet
- Advise on products or services
- Make it Memorable
- Perform daily duties such as managing salon operations, ensuring SOP compliance and cleanliness, placing supply orders within budget, assisting in hiring and training staff, and communicating with the team and Store Manager.
- Drive salon growth through customer outreach, appointments, community events, and collaborations with rescue groups.
- Lead and coach team members to improve performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide professional grooming services, ensuring animal safety and well-being, and maintaining grooming tools and records.
- Operate equipment safely and perform store recovery if needed.
- Enforce salon policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years grooming pets under a professional groomer, with supervisory experience preferred. Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats, demonstrating patience and compassion. Must provide own grooming tools or be willing to purchase them.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience considered.

- Indoor environment with moderate noise
- Exposure to wet conditions, grooming tools, pets, and pet waste
- Variable shifts, generally no less than 4 hours, possibly exceeding 8 hours
- Ability to move, lift up to 50 pounds, stand, kneel, and squat for extended periods
- Operate grooming and store equipment safely and effectively
- Effective communication and documentation skills
