Responsibilities
- Lead quality recovery efforts for underperforming suppliers by managing root cause investigations, containment actions, and long-term corrective action plans
- Respond quickly and effectively to supplier quality crises to minimize supply chain disruptions and ensure continuity of supply
- Monitor supplier quality performance using key indicators such as PPM, non-conformance reports (NCRs), audit findings, and first article inspection (FAI) results
- Initiate and manage improvement or escalation plans based on supplier performance data and trends
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and internal quality teams to align on quality expectations and drive consistent standards
- Facilitate structured problem-solving activities such as 8D reports, 5 Why analysis, and root cause workshops with suppliers
- Conduct or support supplier audits, quality system evaluations, and production readiness reviews in line with industry and customer requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, APQP, PPAP)
- Ensure suppliers comply with all relevant regulatory, contractual, and quality management system standards
- Track and report progress of supplier recovery activities, ensuring clear communication with internal stakeholders and customers
- Develop and maintain supplier quality scorecards, using data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality management, supplier development, or supply chain operations
- Proven experience managing supplier corrective actions and driving recovery plans
- Strong understanding of quality standards, quality tools (8D, FMEA, control plans), and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with supply chain management systems (SAP preferred) and strong Excel/data analysis skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners
- Strong analytical mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and deliver measurable quality outcomes
