• Teaching Assistant (Level
  
  A) – Intervention Team – Secondary School based
• Full-time position – 37 hours per week
• Working with students outside of mainstream classes, delivering targeted intervention support
• Supporting individuals and small groups to improve engagement, learning and progress
• Managing a caseload of students and recording intervention outcomes to demonstrate measurable progress
• Supporting the Inclusion Team as required, demonstrating flexibility across the school
• Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning and behavioural support
• Building positive relationships with students to promote confidence, wellbeing and achievement

This is a Secondary school based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, easily accessible by car or public transport with the nearest bus stop just 3 minutes’ walk away. The school has achieved the “Expected standard” in 6 out of 7 key metrics by Ofsted, with the other achieving a “Strong standard”.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have/be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of working with children and young people.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• A sound understanding of how children learn and how to support their development.
• The ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• A minimum of GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent Functional Skills Level
  2), a Level 2 NVQ/CACHE/BTEC qualification, or an Experienced Exemption (two years’ referenceable school-based employment).
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
