Community Safety Triage Assessment Officer
Are you passionate about supporting our Communities and helping people experiencing Anti-social behaviour ?
An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and pro‑active triage assessment officer to support Ashfield District Council’s Community Safety Team.
This post will be the first point of contact for reports of anti‑social behaviour, advice and support via telephone and email. The role will provide comprehensive triage service relating to the management of antibj behaviour. The role focuses on early intervention, reassurance to victims and witnesses, protection of vulnerable victims, and making appropriate referrals. The officer will be expected to carry nao risk assessments and identify vulnerability at an early stage, understand when a situation is a safeguarding concern and ensure appropriate referrals are made.
The role also deals with the reporting of environmental offences such as littering, dog fouling, fly‑tipping, in line with our corporate objective of Cleaner and Greener.
This role is vital in supporting our council priorities in understanding the needs of Ashfield residents and making our changer better. We also have a strong commitment to addressing Domestic Abuse and violence against women and girls.
