Inplace Personnel Services Ltd is recruiting a Quality Technician to support quality operations within a busy manufacturing environment in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day quality support to manufacturing teams, carrying out product inspections, audits and quality checks while helping to maintain required quality standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out regular product audits during the manufacturing process.
* Checking packed and finished products before dispatch.
* Identifying and communicating internal quality concerns.
* Auditing incoming goods against predetermined requirements.
* Reviewing and approving or rejecting samples prior to production runs.
* Locating and issuing relevant samples, documents and profiles to production.
* Maintaining inspection equipment and supporting calibration activities.
* Assisting with product testing and quality improvement activities.
* Supporting external audits where required.
* Producing basic ISIR reports and maintaining accurate quality records.
Working Environment
* This role is based within a busy manufacturing environment and involves working closely with production and quality teams.
* Good attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to identify and communicate quality issues are essential.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday on a two-shift rotation:
* 06:00 – 14:00
* 10:00 – 18:00
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar quality role.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Experience producing basic ISIR reports.
* Competent using Microsoft Office software.
* Basic knowledge of Shadow graph and CMM equipment.
* Experience using callipers, micrometres, height gauges and plug gauges.
* Good understanding of ISO 9001.
* Basic knowledge of PPAP, APQP, SPC, 5S and 8D.
* Basic understanding of calibration procedures.
* ISO 13485 internal auditor experience would be desirable.
Rates Of Pay
* £33,454 per annum
