Overview

Assistant Manager – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Kirkby-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. This is a permanent full-time position working a variety of shifts five days from seven each week, usually including at least one weekend shift. For full-time positions, you will generally be required to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

  • Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week.
  • Pay: £30,240 - £33,948.94 per annum.

What you will do
  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
  • Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
  • Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
  • Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
  • Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

  • Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
