Overview

To provide administrative support to the Maternity Safeguarding Practitioners, based within the Safeguarding Children Team. The role of the team is to ensure that safeguarding processes are followed where necessary for women, children and unborn infants accessing maternity services. Additional administrative support will be provided to the wider safeguarding team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage invites to safeguarding meetings ensuring attendance by allocated midwife.
  • Update and manage electronic calendars.
  • Create and manage spreadsheets to collate relevant data.
  • Add safeguarding information to electronic patient records.
  • General filing duties and clerical support.
  • Adding and maintaining alerts on the electronic patient records.
  • Collate information required for multi-agency meetings.
  • Answer telephone calls and pass information to the safeguarding team.
  • Capture relevant data and maintain databases.
  • Support the Team in maintaining Safeguarding training compliance.
