Job description
Prospero Teaching is partnered with local councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.
We are currently looking for a Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent to provide KS1-KS2 mathematics and English support on a 1:1 basis for students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.
All students have a diagnosis of autism or ADHD. As they have been out of education for some time, they require support with core subjects such as mathematics and English at a lower level. The tutor will need to assess their current abilities and reintroduce education into their routine while a suitable school provision is found. Lessons will take place either in a local library or the young person's home.
Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must hold QTS and have a strong background and understanding of SEN.
