About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school located in the Prescot area of Knowsley. This school is seeking a nuturing and committed Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis from 1st September 2026.
We currently have multiple roles available in this school, and we would like to schedule interviews/trial sessions in the coming weeks. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30. Opportunities for permanent recruitment available for the successful candidate in the 2026/7 academic year.

- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
- Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
- Experience in EYFS/KS1 would be an advantage
- Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly ASD
- Builds positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff to support teaching & learning.

- Reliable, well-presented, and committed to confidentiality and ongoing development.
- Sound understanding of classroom roles, routines, and expectations, and how to contribute effectively to these.
- Observant and reflective, able to recognise and respond to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.
- Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in a school setting.
- Committed to continuous personal development and open to feedback and training.
