Year 1 Teaching Assistant - September 2026
Huyton (L36) – Milk Education is partnering with a primary school to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to support two Year 1 pupils with SEND on a 1‑2‑2 basis.
This temporary role works on a long‑term supply basis and runs from September 2026 until December 2026.
The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, 08:30am–15:30pm.
The school seeks a patient, nurturing individual who can provide consistent support, keep the children focused, and help meet their individual learning needs.
Responsibilities- Provide one-to-two support for two Year 1 pupils
- Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
- Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
- Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism (desirable)
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting the child's academic and emotional development
