Early Years Teaching Assistant

Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young children during the early stages of their education?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in Knowsley for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position offering the opportunity to play a key role in helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children within the Early Years setting. You will help to create a positive and engaging learning environment, supporting pupils through both structured activities and child-led learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Supporting children across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
• Encouraging children's social, emotional, and educational development
• Supporting pupils with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy skills
• Observing and recording pupil progress when required
• Working closely with teachers, parents, and the wider school team

• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
