If you join our team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in acute respiratory nursing. We provide a holistic car to the very acutely unwell and those with chronic respiratory illnesses who require frequent treatment. The wards treat a wide range of thoracic conditions. We care for patients with a variety of conditions, including lung cancer, asthma, COPD, TB, type 1 and type 2 respiratory failure, pleural effusions, pneumothorax, Tracheostomies and PE'S.
Within 2C you will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in NIV (non-invasive ventilation)., We are looking for candidates who are keen to develop professionally in this exciting specialty of Respiratory medicine. Our respiratory service is forever expanding. You will be expected to deliver care of the highest standard and must have the ability to work as part of a team.
We will support both newly qualified and experienced Registered Nurses. You will be Expected to rotate to both days and nights and be flexible in your approach to caring for a group of patients.

Providing emergency and maternity services at Whiston, Southport and Ormskirk hospitals, and medical and surgical specialties across all our sites.
Primary Care Providing primary care services at Marshalls Cross Medical Centre situated in St Helens Hospital.
Community Services Providing adult community services for St Helens and a wheelchair service in Chorley, South Ribble, and West Lancashire. Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation.
We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional Services We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
