Summary

EQUANS is recruiting for a Caretaker to be based in The Prescott School, Knowsley Park Lane Liverpool, L34 3NB
. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,113.00 per annum and benefits package. Shift times:
Mon-Fri Early - 0530am-1330pm;
Mon-Fri Late - 1300pm-2100pm;

Overview

The Caretaker is responsible for the safe, secure and efficient operation of the school site. Duties include opening and locking the building, security checks, reception, visitor and contractor management, porterage, planned and reactive maintenance, minor repairs and supporting community use of the premises. The role also involves maintaining site records, completing meter readings, following Equans health and safety procedures, reporting incidents and managing contractors in line with company requirements.

The Caretaker will provide a professional and customer-focused service, respond promptly to requests, work safely and efficiently, and represent Equans positively at all times. The role may include occasional out-of-hours work and other reasonable duties as required. For this role, you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance; therefore, ability to pass is essential.

Required Qualifications , Skills or Experience
  • Experience in a trade or similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Health and safety experience, including manual handling and working at height, is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Understanding of COSHH guidelines and colour coding.
  • Proficient use of email and basic IT knowledge.
  • Enhanced DBS certification required; this will be applied for upon commencement of the role.
