Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm (moving to permanent nights following induction: Monday to Wednesday, 6:00pm - 6:00am)

Salary: Depending on experience

We’re recruiting a hands‑on Extrusion Operator / Team Leader to play a key role in developing a growing extrusion operation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established manufacturer where you will combine technical expertise with the opportunity to support and guide a small production team.

As an Extrusion Operator / Team Leader you will operate and set up rubber extrusion machinery while ensuring production targets, quality standards and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.

• Set up and operate rubber extrusion machinery.
• Prepare raw materials and ensure the correct compounds are used.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Carry out product changeovers efficiently.
• Complete quality inspections using measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot production issues and work closely with engineering to minimise downtime.
• Support and motivate colleagues throughout the shift.
• Assist with work allocation to ensure production schedules are met.
• Promote excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.

• Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of rubber compounds and extrusion processes.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers and profile gauges.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
