Liverpool 40,382 per annum Monday to Friday, 10pm-6am Permanent
IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager to join our client, a busy food manufacturing site in Liverpool.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest hygiene standards across the facility, while supporting compliance with health, safety, quality and food safety procedures.

- Monday to Friday, 10pm-6am.

- Flexibility around occasional production meetings during a Monday day shift.
- Ensure compliance with site health, safety, quality and food safety procedures, adhering to company policies and identifying potential risks.
- Oversee Health & Safety practices, including COSHH assessments, risk assessments and documented safe systems of work.
- Manage the segregation, storage and safe handling of chemicals and associated equipment.
- Oversee the ordering and stock control of hygiene consumables and chemicals, ensuring adequate supply levels.
- Ensure line washdowns are completed efficiently and consistently in line with a structured deep-cleaning schedule.
- Provide training for new starters, including on-the-job training, and coordinate external training where necessary.
- Attend management meetings as required to support site operations.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs) are regularly updated and adhered to.
- Plan and manage staffing and recruitment to maintain an effective hygiene team.
- Experience working in a similar role is essential.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to challenge and influence others professionally and constructively.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene practices within food manufacturing.
- Experience with cleaning chemicals, equipment and regulatory compliance.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing.
