A Local Authority is looking for a Qualified Team Manager for their Child Protection service in Merseyside
. This is a permanent and
full-time
position that is hybrid working.
You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

About the job
- Lead and manage child protection and safeguarding services.
- Supervise, support, and develop social work and safeguarding staff.
- Oversee child protection assessments, investigations, and intervention plans.
- Manage complex and high-risk safeguarding cases.
- Ensure compliance with child protection legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate multi-agency working with key partners and stakeholders.
- Monitor service quality, performance, and case management standards.
- Chair or contribute to safeguarding meetings and case conferences.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely reporting.
- Manage team workloads, resources, and service delivery.
- Respond to serious safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints.
- Promote best practice and continuous improvement in child protection services.
- Ensure children's welfare, rights, and voices remain central to decision-making
About you
The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification management experience in
Children's Social Work
