A Local Authority is looking for a Qualified Social Worker for their Children with Disabilities service in Merseyside
. This is a permanent and
full-time
position that is hybrid working.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

This team is apart of a smaller local authority that has a friendly, supportive environment. As a local authority they promote flexible working and manageable caseloads. This Local Authority has high aspirations for their children and young people and are focused on making a real difference.

About the job
  • Assess the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
  • Develop and review care, support, and safeguarding plans.
  • Coordinate services and resources to promote the child's wellbeing, development, and independence.
  • Provide support, guidance, and advocacy for children and their families.
  • Conduct home visits and monitor the effectiveness of support packages.
  • Work collaboratively with education, health, and other professionals to ensure joined-up care.
  • Safeguard children from harm and respond to any child protection concerns.
  • Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and attend multi-agency meetings and reviews.
  • Ensure services comply with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice.
About you

The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification experience in
Children's Social Work
whilst having an up-to-date understanding of relevant fostering legislation. This is a growing team with long-term potential to progress into a senior position and beyond when opportunities arise.
