- Help & Protection Team Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join the Help & Protection Team at Knowsley Borough Council .
This is an excellent opportunity for an established manager with a strong background in Child Protection, Safeguarding, and frontline Children's Services to lead a busy and supportive team.

6-month temporary contract with the view to extension - Pay Rate: £46.00 per hour Umbrella £36.01 per hour PAYE Exclusive
As Team Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight to a team of social workers managing complex child protection, safeguarding, and family support cases. You will be responsible for ensuring that children and families receive effective interventions, while maintaining high standards of practice and statutory compliance. The successful candidate will support staff through regular supervision, performance management, case audits, and decision‑making on complex safeguarding matters.
You will work closely with partner agencies, including education, health services, police, and other safeguarding professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Significant experience within Children’s Social Care
- Previous Team Manager or Senior Practitioner experience
- Strong knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding legislation
- Experience managing complex caseloads and supporting social work teams
- Social Work England registration
- Enhanced DBS
