What We DoSTEF Langdons delivers chilled and frozen food to almost any location across the UK and Ireland within 24 hours, supported by 12 depots and a fleet of over 500 vehicles.
The RoleAs a Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll lead a designated warehouse team, ensuring a safe, efficient operation and that customer goods are handled in line with company, food safety and quality standards.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading, coaching and supporting the warehouse team to deliver safe, efficient and consistent performance.
- Overseeing the receipt, storage and dispatch of customer goods, including correct temperatures, packaging and labelling.
- Ensuring quality, hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained, addressing issues and escalating concerns where necessary.
- Promoting a safe working environment by identifying and addressing hazards and ensuring equipment is used safely.
- Resolving operational issues, including damaged goods and incomplete consignments, and communicating with colleagues and customers where required.
- Supporting management with team cover and deputising when required.
- Experience of leading a warehouse team, or working towards a Level 3 Management or equivalent qualification.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
- An up-to-date licence for designated mechanical handling equipment.
- Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to motivate and coach others, manage changing priorities and work to targets and deadlines.
- The confidence to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging conversations.
- A willingness to undertake relevant training and development.
