Salary:
Starting £25,000 with potential to increase to £30,000

ASA Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected Funeral Director seeking a mature, confident and compassionate Office Administrator to join their dedicated team.
This is a position of trust, professionalism and empathy. The successful candidate will train within the Kirkcaldy Funeral Home before moving into a solo role running the Dalgety Bay branch. Holiday cover may also be required in the Glenrothes branch.
The RoleYou will oversee and run the day-to-day operations of the funeral home, ensuring families receive the highest level of care and service during sensitive times.
- Managing and maintaining the funeral home including stock control and general upkeep
- Answering phone calls, emails and welcoming families
- Supporting families with funeral arrangements and pre-payment services
- Typing and sending funeral confirmations to families and third parties
- Submitting legal documentation for burials and cremations
- Placing press notices
- Taking payments by card, cash and cheque
- Discussing and administering memorials
- Arranging and quoting pre-paid funeral plans via iPad
- Organising music, live webcasting and slideshows
- Preparing memory boxes and order of service sheets
- Scanning and editing photographs
Touching up hair and make-up of the deceased where required - Meeting and guiding families during viewings
- Booking appointments and managing diaries
- Mature, confident and compassionate
- Able to work independently in a solo environment
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Comfortable using computers and iPads
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional presentation with high levels of confidentiality
- Full UK driving licence desirable
Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes:
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)
Dalgety Bay:
Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:30pm (30 minute lunch)
30 days paid holiday per annum. Christmas and New Year public holidays are separate from annual leave.
Benefits- Company pension scheme after three months
- Company sickness insurance scheme after six months (subject to assessment)
- Four-month probationary period
- Salary progression up to £30,000
