Aboutthe role
We are seeking a Sales Director who will drive growth in Kidde’s residential fire portfolio across the UK and Ireland. This role focuses on leading our sales team, identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with key stakeholders (consultants, contractors, end users, distributors and channel partners), and expanding Kidde’s market presence in core and emerging sectors.
ResponsibilitiesAs the Sales Director UK&I, you'll be responsible for:
- Own and deliver financial and sales growth targets across the UK & Ireland region.
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to grow revenue, market share and long-term profitability.
- Identify marketplace opportunities and anticipate trends to ensure competitive speed-to-market.
- Lead accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting to provide visibility of performance and future outlook.
- Monitor regional competitive landscape and market data to inform strategic decisions and product needs.
- Increase market demand by strengthening partnerships with distributors, retailers and channel partners.
- Build brand awareness for Kidde’s residential fire safety product portfolio in the region.
- Manage customer interface across proposal development, commercial negotiations and ongoing support.
- Select, develop and manage appropriate sales channels and market segment strategies.
- Build, motivate and lead a high-performing, customer-focused sales team.
- Set clear expectations, goals and performance standards; coach and upskill team members to achieve them.
- Take ownership of future capability development through skills assessment and succession planning.
- Foster a collaborative, adaptive and improvement-oriented sales culture that drives engagement and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and reporting standards.
- Maintain and leverage deep knowledge of products, solutions and customer requirements.
- Use KPIs and metrics to track team performance, course-correct and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide regular reporting on pipeline, forecasts and regional performance.
