Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting for a medium sized family run Steel Fabricator based in central Scotland.

Our client has been in operation for over 30 years and have built a successful business with a stable client base including frameworks both private sector and local authority.

Due to expansion and succession planning, they are looking to engage an Estimator.

Our client delivers a diverse selection of products including:

• Bridgeworks
• Canopies
• Balustrades
• Structural steelwork
• Walkovers

The Job

The Estimator will be responsible for:

• Tender generations through to successful delivery of projects on site.
• Must be comfortable with small jobs and large tender submissions.
• Excel and Word Proficient.
• Able to interpret both paper drawings and CAD models as required.
• Happy to liaise with client estimators/surveyors, suppliers and other team members.
• Predominately office-based with occasional site visits
• 39 hour week with start and finish times being flexible

The business is at a comfortable size, organic growth is always a possibility, but increasing profitability through efficiency is always a company target.

You will work closely with the management team to maintain and develop business relationships with clients, designers and sub-contractors.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in Estimating You may also be a QS
• Experience in structural steel is highly beneficial but other backgrounds in construction will also be considered
• Be an excellent communicator and lead teams to a common goal
• Have a can-do attitude and work additional hours when required.
