Corporate Tax Manager

We’re seeking a Manager to join our Corporate Tax Business in Scotland. This permanent role is based at either our Edinburgh, Stirling or Kirkcaldy office.

Client work

• Manage portfolio of compliance cases
• Undertake some consultancy work
• Give exceptional client service
• Identify opportunities on client portfolio

Staff Management and development

• Liaison with Partners
• Appraisals / monitor staff performance
• Provide on‑the‑job training for junior staff on a one‑to‑one basis

Practice Development

• Involved in business development activities / profile raising locally
• Able to take advantage of marketing / PR opportunities

Compliance

• Ensuring procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevant

• Demonstrate significant corporate tax experience gained within the profession
• Be a technically capable tax adviser who is able to manage complex client work
• Demonstrate experience of managing people and clients
• Have existing business development skills and appetite to grow business
• Have project management experience
• Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
• Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) and/or tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent
