Personal Assistant SDS​/MD

Overview

We are looking for a personal assistant to help a 92-year-old female who has dementia and would like some company to give her family a break. Our client requires reassurance when away from family. She enjoys the company of others and would benefit from someone who is kind and understanding.

You will support her in her home to keep her mind active, suggest ideas for gentle activities, and help keep her safe. The role may involve supporting her with personal care (if required) and meal preparation as our client is currently bed bound and needs assistance with these tasks. The hours are flexible to support the client during her recovery and weekend work is possible.

You should have a caring attitude, a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having previous experience of supporting people with dementia would be advantageous but not essential. Being a driver is preferred.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
