Job Details

This community-based Occupational Therapy role supports children and young people aged 0-18 with a wide range of disabilities and additional support needs. The post focuses on promoting health, wellbeing and independence through assessment, intervention and collaboration with children, their families and the wider team around the child. The aim is to enable each child or young person to develop skills, overcome barriers and fully participate in meaningful activities at home, in school and within their community.

The Fife Wide Children & Young Peoples Occupational Therapy Service is a dynamic, quality-driven team dedicated to improving the lives of children, young people, and their families. As An Occupational Therapist Within Our Service, You Will
  • Support children, young people and their families, delivering interventions at universal, targeted, and specialist levels, tailored to population needs.
  • Manage a generic caseload of children and young people from birth to school-leaving age.
  • Apply excellent clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice across a range of pediatric conditions to support participation and wellbeing.
  • Champion inclusive approaches that remove barriers and empower children and families to achieve their goals.
The Person

We Seek a Highly Motivated, Reflective Practitioner With

  • You will need to be a registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC having the appropriate professional degree.
  • Strong clinical expertise in working with children, young people and families and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families, schools, and multi-agency partners.
  • A passion for promoting rights-based practice, equity, and accessibility in all aspects of service delivery.

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. 5/7 working week and flexible working arrangements exist to meet individual and service needs.
