HR Business Partner / HR Transformation Consultant
UK Based remote– Contract 3-6 months - Start ASAP
We are supporting a well-established organisation entering a significant organisational restructure from June / July.
This is a business critical assignment. The organisation is transitioning to a leaner, strategically focused onshore model, centralising operational activity into a shared service function and moving selected elements of delivery offshore.
They require an experienced HR Business Partner or HR Transformation Consultant to lead and deliver the full change programme.
This is not an advisory brief. It is a hands on leadership role with full ownership of execution.
The RoleYou will take responsibility for the end to end restructure lifecycle, balancing commercial priorities with legal compliance and employee impact.
Restructure Design and Planning- Partner with senior leadership to shape the future state organisation
- Advise on onshore versus offshore role design
- Design phased or big bang implementation approaches
- Build a clear and practical restructure timeline
- Manage transition points and critical drop dates
- Lead a structured and legally compliant redundancy process
- Manage individual and collective consultation processes
- Support managers through difficult conversations
- Ensure exits are handled professionally and compassionately
- Protect the commercial interests of the business throughout
- Experience managing multiple redundancies within a reasonably sized restructure is essential.
- Support the transition from onshore to offshore delivery
- Advise on risk, communication and change impact
- Ensure continuity across sales, account management and portfolio functions
- Manage implications for fixed term contract staff
- Experience supporting offshore transitions or large scale organisational redesign is highly desirable.
- Design the overall communication strategy
- Draft all letters, emails and consultation documentation
- Support and shape leadership messaging
- Manage employee queries and follow up communication
Ensure clarity, consistency and legal compliance - You must be confident owning communications end to end, not just advising on approach.
- Document processes and frameworks
- Set up the business for a leaner long term HR model
- Help define what minimal onshore HR support looks like post restructure
- Long term, the organisation expects to operate with a lighter HR footprint, potentially at HR Coordinator level.
- Proven experience leading a medium to large scale restructure
- End to end redundancy management experience
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- Calm, pragmatic and commercially minded approach
- Ability to balance compassion with business reality
- Comfortable operating independently
- Experience with shared service models or offshore transitions
This assignment requires maturity, resilience and credibility at leadership level. You will be trusted to drive a sensitive programme that directly impacts the future structure of the organisation.
