Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer for a temporary position within a high-volume production facility in Kirkcaldy
.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll have real ownership of keeping the plant running and the space to shape the preventative maintenance programme.

• Ongoing temporary position
• £42,000 per annum
• 40 hours per week on a weekly rotating 3-shift pattern
  :
  • Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm
  • Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm
  • Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs across electrical motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveyors and production equipment
• Planning and delivering the preventative maintenance programme to minimise machine downtime
• Responding to breakdowns quickly and efficiently to keep production running
• Supporting factory operatives with machine changeovers and preparation of change parts
• Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation and managing critical spares

• A time-served electrical or mechanical engineering background is essential
• A Higher National Certificate level qualification is desirable
• Previous experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment is desirable
• Strong fault-finding skills across multiple engineering disciplines
• A full UK driving licence and good physical fitness
